    The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was in AFC Champions League action on Monday. The Portuguese forward endured an evening to forget, as he drew a blank in a 1-0 defeat. Al-Nassr also ended the game with 10 men after seeing former Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte sent off in stoppage-time.

    Ronaldo was subjected to more Lionel Messi taunts from the stands, having served a one-match ban for his previous reaction to those jibes, but did not take the bait on this occasion until after the final whistle. As he made his way off the field in a Riyadh Cup clash with Al-Hilal in February, Ronaldo rubbed a scarf on his crotch before throwing it back towards the crowd.

    On this occasion, as he headed down the tunnel, Ronaldo was close enough to those aiming abuse in his direction that he could fire back with a “see you in Riyadh” message. He had a smile on his face, but was still helped towards the dressing room before things got out of hand.
